random question

Student A went up to Professor B after class and demanded that Professor B remain in the classroom after all the other students left. Professor B resisted and Student A said, "I have a loaded pistol in my bookbag. If you don't stay for another 10 minutes, I will shoot you." Professor B remained for another 10 minutes while Student A yelled about Professor B's poor teaching skills. After 10 minutes, Student A allowed Professor B to leave.

Did Student A kidnap Professor B?

In my opinion, yes. Same goes for the third edition of the American Heritage dictionary. So don't go getting any ideas, no matter how tough law school gets.

In my opinion, ... yeah...whatever...

Tin should be banned from viewing your page.

He is a punk that likes to press "Refresh" buttons way too many times!

alright
since tin is the only one who answered my question
i'll just give the answer
yes, tin is right
it is kidnapping

--kidnapping involves either removal of victim or confinement against will for any period of time

--whether place of confinement is
in a public area is irrelevant

--time of confinement, even for 10 min, is irrelevant to crime of kidnapping (maybe relevant for punishment)

i'll make a mental note not to do that once school starts

My answer is no. Show me the gun first.

Student A did not physically stop/prevent Professor B from leaving.

If I were Professor B, I would give Student A a beatdown before he can reach into his bag for his fire arm.

most likely not since we hear stories once a while about a parent abducting a kid...
